It was love at first sight, my sister actually found the dress after days of searching. It was impossible to find something simple. I didn't want any lace, tulle, or glitz...just a beautifully structured gown, with an amazing sillouette and an show stopping train. We found it at Bridal Reflections in Long Island. I wore it with a cathedral veil, diamond chandelier earrings and my grandmothers antique bracelet. I felt amazing in it and have never regretted my choice. We were married at the De Seversky mansion in Old Westbury, a gold coast estate designed in 1916. We wanted our wedding to fit the historic elegance of the mansion, but not overwhelm the glamour and increcible details that the venue provided. Our ceremony was set behind the mansion, overlooking the sweeping views of the estate. My future brother in law presided over the ceremony, truly capturing us as he told our love story, what he called a "New York Love Story"  sharing the funny moments as well a the most tender. We held cocktail hour on the patio, with a three piece horns band, mountains of hors d'oeurvres, raw bar and lawn games to create a fun up beat atmosphere. The reception was in the main ballroom, with its carved wood walls and giant fireplace, the mantals were filled with flowers and evening light. Our incredible florist Andrew Pascoe turned the room into a fairytale, each table with arrangements more beautiful that the next. We had a eight piece band, including sax and trumpet players that brought down the house! We danced the night away surrounded by all of our closest familly and friends. We will never forget the magic of that night....
